Kelly Kubrick

With over a decade of hands-on experience with some of the best-known brands on the planet — including TIME and Life as well as PEOPLE and Sports Illustrated magazines — Kelly Kubrick has the experience to help clients achieve over-the-top online success. Owner of Online Authority, an Internet marketing consulting practice, Kelly has completed over 150 engagements with more than seventy clients across North America.
Education: Kelly comes armed with academic credentials including an MBA degree from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University, a diploma from the Radcliffe Publishing Course at Harvard University (now the Columbia Publishing Course) and Bachelor of Arts degree from Victoria College at the University of Toronto.
Professional experience: Kelly’s online expertise stems from fifteen years experience in media and publishing. As Director of eCommerce Development for Time Inc, Time Warner’s publishing division in New York, she oversaw the planning, development and launch of more than 60 websites for such brands as In Style, Fortune, Entertainment Weekly, and Real Simple. She was a member, as well, of corporate task forces on initiatives such as joint Time Inc.–America Online Marketing, online customer service and email marketing. A former teacher, she developed and taught Internet courses to new employees. Previously, Kelly was Director of Sales at The Voyager Company, a digital publisher located in New York. In addition, she’s the granddaughter of a serial entrepreneur and today, sits on the board of directors of her family business, Morrison Lamothe Inc.
Volunteer work: Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Kelly is bilingual (French and English) and spends considerable time and energy giving back to the community she loves. Among her activities:
- Kelly served as a member of the Mayor of Ottawa's Task Force on e-Government (report released June 2008);
- She is a member of the Web Analytics Association and served on its Education Committee working group, focused on enhancing the University of British Columbia's Award of Achievement in Web Analytics;
- Kelly is a member of the board of directors of CMA Ottawa, one of five regional chapters of the Canadian Marketing Association;
- She is a member of the Zone5ive Program Committee, OCRI's (Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation) technology marketing speaker series;
