Marie Boivin

Marie's experience and studies in economics and human resources led her to creating the most profitable commercial division in Accu-Rate Corporation where she presently holds the position of President and CEO. Her ability to develop partnerships with banks around the world has helped hundreds of large and small businesses in Canada launch into international markets. Marie finds economical solutions for businesses and governments who require currency exchange and transferring of funds around the globe.

Marie has a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Marie is a fellow of the Canadian Bankers' Institute as well as a member of various local associations including the Chamber of Commerce and the WBN. Marie has travelled the globe and has personally developed partnerships with banks for clients. Her hands-on approach has built the trust and knowledge Canadian businesses are looking for with international transactions. Stephen Beckta

Stephen Beckta is proprietor of Beckta dining & wine, one of Ottawa's premier fine dining restaurants, along with the recently opened Play food & wine. After graduating with honours from Algonquin College's Sommelier program, Stephen departed Ottawa to hone his skills in New York City for four years with the top players in the restaurant industry. Stephen started at Café Boulud working for the celebrated chef, Daniel Boulud, followed by a stint with renowned restaurateur Danny Meyer at Eleven Madison Park before returning to his native city.

Beckta dining & wine has received glowing reviews in The New York Times, The Globe and Mail, The National Post and The Montreal Gazette, being applauded for its extraordinary hospitality, caring customer service and inspired cooking. Just two weeks after opening, enRoute Magazine rated Beckta dining & wine the fourth best new restaurant in Canada.

Other accolades include four consecutive CAA/AAA four-diamond awards as well as being named the #1 restaurant in Ottawa by Ottawa Magazine in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Rob Woodbridge

Rob Woodbridge is president and CEO of Rove Mobile Inc. He is a successful entrepreneur with proven leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of technical, business and marketing strategies. Most recently the VP Operations at Magmic Games, Rob brings more than 15 years of experience in business development and leadership to Rove. Rob has put his expertise to work for clients as diverse as Nortel Networks, Infospace, Xerox and Royal Bank. He has founded and grown four companies to profitability. He has also coached over 35 technology companies in raising more than $140M in venture financing.

Rob is the proud father of twin boys, and a huge Springsteen fan who had the honor of playing the Boss'guitar on stage.

Been there, done that. Here is a panel with some of the city's brightest young businesspeople - all of whom have received Forty Under 40 Awards. The panelists have built multi-million-dollar companies right here in Ottawa. Led by expert business coach Pauline Fleming, the panelists will explore what factors led to their business success. Also, their challenges, motivations, habits and lessons learned.

The panelists will include Marie Boivin, managing director of Accu-rate Corporation. Marie's experience in economics and human resources allowed her to establish the most profitable division of the company, boosting the bottom line by 1500 percent. Marie is also a bronze recipient of the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce's Business Person of the Year Award.
