Ted Wagstaff

A native of Montreal, Ted has more than 20 years of sponsorship, property naming rights and event marketing experience. Ted brings an integrated, partnership approach to his sponsorship negotiations and develops relationships that are beneficial for both parties.
During the course of the past 20 years, Ted has successfully sold more than $50million in sponsorship for organizations including Kangaroo TV, Athletics Canada, the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club, Health Canada, the Canadian Sport Awards, the Spirit of Sport National Tour, the United Way, Tennis Canada, Natural Resources Canada, CAHPERD and the Manulife Ride for Heart.
Ted has an extensive network of corporate contacts and uses these relationships to build sponsor partnerships. He has negotiated sponsorship contracts in virtually all business sectors including the transportation, communication, automotive, financial services, consumer packaged goods and media industries.
In addition to his core sponsorship work, Ted’s wide-ranging marketing experience also includes event management, athlete representation and television broadcast negotiations.
A graduate of the University of Ottawa, Ted facilitates workshops on sponsorship for clients and is a professor of both marketing and sponsorship at Algonquin College in Ottawa. He is a Board member at the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre.
